22 year old Memphis man arrested for sex trafficking

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -

Patrick Cathey, a 22 year old Memphis Man, is in jail on a 100 thousand dollar bond. He was arrested f or aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, sex trafficking and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Organized Crime Detectives accuse Cathey of forcing a 17 year old girl to prostituteherself forthepastseveralweeks.Investigatorssayhewastaken into custody, on Saturday, after bringing the girl to a hotel for sex with a client. In this case, the client was an undercover of f icer.

The victim says she made nearly 6 thousand dollars having sex with men for the past 2 to 3 weeks while living with Cathey in different hotels.She says Cathey threatened her with a gun and would not let her leave or keep any money.
