Weekly Update
Just a recap of office events from last week:
Last Tuesday, of course, was a very eventful day for End Slavery Tennessee. As participants in The Big Payback we were excited to see what the day would bring in regards to new donors and much-needed funds for our survivors.
Before mid-morning the staff was having their picture taken as the winners of Most Dollars Raised from 6-9a.m! It was a rewarding day and we were happy to awake Wednesday morning to a total of $25,071 and an additional $13,000 in first and second placed prizes plus the most dollars morning prize!
Special "thank you" shout out to everyone who donated including our wonderful volunteers, board members, staff, and community supporters!
We also had two new summer intern start in the office, Kamrie Reed and Allie Bergeron. They will be getting a taste of the different aspects of ESTN as they attend conferences with Derri, work on presentations for Karen, and run around with Sheila, Christine, and Lizedny to meet with survivors and take them to appointments.
In addition, at our weekly staff meeting last Thursday we had the chance to celebrate the birthday of one of our own case managers, Lizedny De la Rosa!!
We also received word of a new survivor on Wednesday and Christine and Lizedny had a late night later on helping her get some critical and life-saving treatment.
There is always work to be done…
