Office of Sentator Corker: Senator Corker Applauds TBI on Successful Operation to Combat Human Trafficking

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) made the following statement today regarding the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s (TBI) announcement on Friday that it conducted a successful operation to combat human trafficking in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Dalton, Georgia, known as “Operation Watchful Guardians.”

“I applaud TBI and the state of Tennessee for this successful operation and their efforts to combat human trafficking,” said Corker. “Modern day slavery and human trafficking knows no borders or boundaries, and in order to prevent future victims of this horrific crime, we must continue to encourage partnerships among law enforcement, local communities and non-profit agencies. I thank TBI, the law enforcement agencies involved as well as Second Life Chattanooga and End Slavery Tennessee for continuing to make putting an end to modern day slavery and human trafficking a top priority.”
