Giving Circle honors grant recipients

BRENTWOOD — The Giving Circle is holding a celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Brentwood Library, 8109

Concord Road, to honor the recipients of grants from the nonprofit.

The Giving Circle was founded in 2009 and since has distributed more than $137,000 in grants to 19 ministries serving Davidson, Williamson and other counties in Tennessee and several foreign countries. In 2013, the 56 women members granted $34,400 to seven organizations.

Grants were given this year to ministries as part of The Belize Project, Heal Ministries, Youth Encouragement Services, The Refuge Center, End Slavery Tennessee, Radooga Orphan Camp in the Ukraine and Franktown Girls.
