ENSLAVED:
Edited By Jessie Sage and Lora Kastien
This read portrays voices from survivors who came from darkness to open our eyes to the treacherous practice of human slavery. Stories recount the experiences of slaves from around the world, as well as a slaveholder. One such story is Micheline Slattery, an orphan who was in bondage from Haiti to Connecticut. These stories are a “harrowing reminder” of the issue of human trafficking in our world today.
