In Our Backyard enters the lives of actual victims, survivors, and traffickers, as they tell their horrific yet true stories of this underground criminal activity. This read will open your eyes to the horrors of human trafficking that occurs in our own communities. Author Nita Belles raises awareness of human trafficking in the United States of America with a Christian perspective. She has created an excellent training tool for small groups complete with question and answer sections at the end of each chapter.
Nita Belles holds a Master’s Degree in Theology with a concentration in women's concerns. She has worked with victims/and survivors of domestic violence for several years and at the time of publishing In Our Backyards held the position of Central Oregon Regional Coordinator for Oregonians Against Trafficking Humans (OATH), an extension of the Oregon Human Trafficking Task Force.
